Antonio Citterio, born in 1950 in Meda, Italy, founded his own architecture studio in 1972 and graduated in architecture from the Polytechnic University of Milan in 1975. From 1987 to 1996 he worked with Terry Dawn, designing buildings in Europe and Japan. In 2000, together with Patricia Viel, he founded the interdisciplinary studio "Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel", which implements complex projects worldwide in the areas of architecture, interior design and graphic design. Citterio is also active in industrial design and has collaborated with renowned companies such as Flos, Vitra, B&B Italia and many others. He has been honored with various awards, including the Compasso d'Oro in 1987 and 1994. From 2006 to 2016 he taught as a professor at the Accademia di Architettura dell' Università della Svizzera Italiana in Mendrisio and received the title of "Royal Designer for Industry" in 2008 " from the "Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures & Commerce" in London.
